Steenwyk Custom Shoes & Orthotics adds Viavor retail program to practice.

Established in 1984 in Red Deer (Alberta), Steenwyk Custom Shoes & Orthotics is a forerunner in the pedorthic and shoemaking profession. Steenwyk blends the traditional orthotic and shoemaking craft with state of the art CAD/CAM technology.

Steenwyk's central fabrication facility manufactures custom made shoes and boots, and customized footwear. Steenwyk provides a high standard of professional pedorthic services and a full range of products including custom made & custom fitted foot orthotics and shoes.

In 2004, Johan Steenwyk evaluated Viavor's custom and customized fitting methods and added the Viavor Classic and Therapeutic Retail Footwear Collections to his product line. In addition to expanding his orthopaedic footwear practice, Steenwyk is now supplying quality dress shoes to a broader consumer market who simply couldn't find comfortable, well fitted shoes through regular retail outlets.

Viavor's extensive range of matched and custom sizing, combined with a wide selection of styles and materials, is meeting the requirements of a large number of his retail clients. A great advantage of the Viavor shoe system is that the retailer no longer requires large product inventories supporting every possible size. No more end of season sales of irregular sizes! The retailer stocks only a small fitting inventory to confirm customer preferences for fit. Customized and custom product orders are available within weeks of fitting the client.
